Migrate from Discord to Descall — practical checklist
Step-by-step migration from Discord to Descall: invite friends, recreate servers with templates, move LFG, and keep voice nights free.
Day 0 — decide what you actually need
List the Discord features your group uses every week: DMs, a private server, voice nights, LFG. Descall covers those without Nitro. Skip trying to clone every bot on day one.
Day 1 — create accounts and invite friends
Register on Descall, install Windows or Android if you want, then send friend invites. Keep Discord open for a week as a safety net — migrations fail when people feel stranded.
Day 2 — recreate your server with a template
Pick Gaming, Valorant, Friends, or Community templates so roles and staff rooms appear ready. Invite codes replace Discord’s invite links.
Day 3 — move voice habit + LFG
Schedule one voice hangout on Descall. Valorant squads should try the Play tab once so LFG does not pull everyone back to Discord bots.
What stays on Discord (honestly)
Huge public servers and bot ecosystems can stay on Discord. Friend groups and squads that wanted a lighter Discord alternative usually finish the move in under a week.
